The activity of “The House of Friendship” sets out for the creation of favorable conditions for the national cultural development, spreading of cultural values via Russia and abroad, international cooperation development.

· to assist International relations in harmonization and to enrich national cultures;

· to set and extend the links with national and cultural organizations in Russia and abroad;

· to unite the efforts of organizations and separate citizens for the development of humanitarian and economic contacts among the peoples of Russia and other countries;

· to attract the population to take part in cultural arrangements

· to provide the members of “The House of Friendship” with information, methodical, organizational and other aids;

· to spread information about cultural-enlightening activities of the members of “The House of Friendship”, to form the data-base of public organization activities;

· to propagate the development and conservation of folk cultures, to organize intersector communication;

There was established the cultural informational- analytical center that provides the creation of the united informational space for the national- cultural centers and public cultural organizations and the development of the dialogue between international and public organizations and government. The data-base about the public organization activities is being formed; the informational news-letters are being published; the library fond is being created.

The series of ”round-tables” on forms and ways of intersector cooperation and international relations are being held.

The non-official meetings are being held (“The Wide Maslenitsa”, the week of French culture “Marianna”, etc.) that help to learn and better understand the cultures of different peoples and lead to integration.

Annually the Cultural Festival “Perm Mozaika” is held. The participation of multi-national people in common arrangements creates the favorable atmosphere in society, provides the spread of cultures that doesn’t prevent from the development of each culture separately but also helps to emphasize its individuality and originality.

“The House of Friendship” cooperates with all branches of government and takes part in realization of the complex harmonization program of national and international Prekamian peoples’ relations of Perm regional administration.

The activity on subject-group establishment is being held (the voluntary associations of public organizations, state formations, business-structures to achieve the common aims and realize the common projects); the cooperation with St.-Petersburg association of international cooperation, “The House of National Cultures”, “The House of Friendship” in Kazan, Russian center of international cooperation under the RF Government, the center “Raduga” in Glazovis being organized.

“The House of Friendship” includes more than 30 physical and juridical units. Among them are the Oxford Cultural-Informational Center, the Center of French Language and Culture, The Society of Friendship with China, The Perm Department of the Society ”Russia-Japan”, the Center of Scottish Culture, the Perm-Jewish autonomy, the Tatar-Bashkir Perm Center, the ethnographic studio “The Singing Artel”, the Creative Laboratory “Bratina”, PPO “The League of Culture”, the Association “Parom”, the manicipal public organization “Dialog”, “Zvezdniy Ulei”, PPO of businessmen, the theatre show “Bibigon” , etc.

“The House of friendship” has the following divisions: the Komi-Perm fraternity, the Center of Friendship with Egypt and India “Kama and Kamit”, the creative organization “The Ural Semiprecious Stones”. The branch in Tchusovoy was opened and the department in Osa is being established. People of all ages and confessions, all nationalities and professions can be met in our House. We proclaim the unity in variety, the equality in opportunities and the success in unity. We value the individuality, thus we are not “all of us”, but “every one of us’. These, for whom mutual understanding, mutual aid and interaction became normal in life. PPO “The House of Friendship” cooperates with all organizations and private units that share our aims and tasks, leaving the right for everyone to be independent and to express one’s own point of view. “The House of Friendship” is not responsible for the peculiarity of their ideology. Our aims are to make our Perm Region to be one of the cultural centers of global importance and we believe that it will be so because we love and know our region.
